Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday: Book bloggers I love

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. This week’s theme is:

August 14: Favorite Book Blogs/Bookish Websites

This was so hard for me to narrow down, as there are so many wonderful blogs and bloggers out there who I STAN, but I managed to pick ten that you should definitely check out.

Hollie @Hollieblog

hb

Hollie is my Twitter wifey and one of my absolute favourite bloggers around (as well as one of my best pals). She writes well-thought out, critical reviews about the books she reads, and insightful, fun travel features, as well as being a huge advocate of LGBTQIAP+ fiction. She also takes some of the best Instagram photos, so you should definitely check her out on there too.

Jeann, Aila, and Jenna @HappyIndulgence

Happy Indulgence

Jeann, Aila, and Jenna make a brilliant blogging team, and together they’re always posting engaging features and fun reviews that never fail to entertain me. They’re thoughtful, analytical, and I always get excited when I get an email saying they have a new post out.

Beth @ReadingEveryNight

ren

Beth is one of the most friendly bloggers out there, hands down. She always makes time to comment on my posts, and we end up having great, in-depth chats about our faves and how much we love A Darker Shade of Magic.

Fawda @WordWonders

ww

Fadwa’s discussion posts about diversity in the book community and publishing industry are fantastic, as she’s not afraid to call out issues she sees as unjust, and always gives a critical but fair breakdown of why something is problematic. Her Instagram is also gorgeous, so you should definitely go follow her on there too because she takes the best outdoors photos.

JM @BookFreakRevelations

bf

JM is an amazing representative of the Filipino book blogging community, and is always enthusiastic about the books he promotes and events he attends. He organises great blog tours and I love his reviews of diverse and own voices books. When he emailed me to say I’d been chosen for an exciting blog tour, I replied back basically screaming at him in gratitude and happiness. (Sorry JM!)

Ashleigh @AFrolicThroughFiction

af

I love Ashleigh’s blog because she talks about such a varied range of books – from classics to YA – and her reviews are always detailed, and insightful. She also has a YouTube channel where she reviews books, does bookish tags, and vlogs about blogger meet ups.

Marie @DrizzleandHurricaneBooks

dh

Marie is one of the kindest book bloggers you’ll ever meet. She posts brilliant bookish features and her weekly Top Ten Tuesday posts are some of my favourite. She’s also constantly pestering me to pick up good books so we can talk about them and I love that!

Jenn @Jenniely

je

If you’re looking for a great YA blog, Jenn’s your girl. She’s always up-to-date with the latest YA (and her reviews are tip top) and writes excellent discussion posts about events and anticipated books. She also spotlights other bloggers, and even runs her own shop, Literary Galaxy.

LaRonda @FlyingPaperbacks

fp

LaRonda is so friendly and enthusiastic and we often end up comparing notes on books we’ve both read. She’s reviews a lot of new ARCs and diverse books, and her posts are eloquent and entertaining, making her a ‘must follow’ for anyone who wants to pick up more diverse and own voices books.

CW @ArtFromaFriend

cw

CW’s blog always includes really inquisitive, engaging reviews, and discussions of self care and the book community. She often posts her art on there and on her Twitter, and it’s some of my favourite, especially her digital paintings of cute dogs! Her blog is under renovation at the moment (so I’ve linked her Twitter instead) but I can’t wait to see it once it’s done.

There are so many other bloggers I love, but since I could only choose ten, I went with these wonderful, inspiring people. I might do another post like this in the future to boost other bloggers that I couldn’t include here.

Who are some of your favourite book bloggers? Do you have any recommendations for other bloggers I should follow?

Until next time

  1. Thanks so so much for featuring me and my blog on your list this week Kate (and yes who else would I fangirl with over V.E. Schwab and the Shades of Magic series!) 😀 ❤
You've featured some amazing bloggers on here as well, and some of my favourites too. There are some new names but I will definitely have to check them out. I'm always searching for new people I can follow. 🙂
Great post, and again thanks so much for featuring me. 🙂 ❤

    1. No problem at all my lovely! You’re one of my favourite people to fangirl with and I always love seeing your TTTs and reviews. I’m glad you also found some other new blogs to potentially follow, I can’t recommend everyone enough! 🙂

  2. Marie is one of the friendliest bloggers out there, and I love that she really engages with me. Always asking followup questions to my comments. She’s amazing, and she reads contemporaries like me too, which is harder than you think to find.

  3. Thank you so, so, SO much for your sweet words Kate and for thinking of me for this list, that means the world to me!! ❤ ❤
I'm really honored to be here alongside SO many other incredible bloggers, thank you SO much, you're the sweetest ❤ ❤ ❤
