Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. This week’s theme is:
December 24: Books I Hope to Find Under My Tree
I’ve asked for a few (*cough* quite a few) books for Christmas this year, so I’m hopeful that I might get to unwrap at least one or two from this list tomorrow.
Mooncakes
I’m 99.9999% sure my Mum has got me this for Christmas because I was in the shop with her when she picked it up.
So fingers crossed it will be there for me to unwrap on Christmas Day!
The Starless Sea
I met up with my family in Leeds last month and my Grandma and Aunt set me loose in Waterstones with the instruction ‘choose what you’d like for Christmas’.
I asked my aunt if she’d mind getting me the Waterstone’s special edition of The Starless Sea and she was 110% happy to.
So I’m relatively certain that it’s going to be waiting for me on Christmas morning.
A Conjuring of Light UK Collector’s Edition
Again, my Grandma asked me to pick what I’d like from her for Christmas, so I have a sneaking suspicion that this is her gift to me.
The Lady Rogue
My Aunt asked for a few book suggestions to get me for Christmas and this was one of them. I’ve been dying to read this for months, so I’m crossing my fingers that I might get to unwrap it soon.
Realm of Ash
Similar to The Lady Rogue, this was also on the list of potential books I gave my aunt.
I loved Empire of Sand when I read it last year, so I’d be very happy to receive this as a present.
I Wish You All The Best
This was the third book on the list (of three) that I gave my Aunt.
I have no idea whether she’s got me this one or one of the other two above, but it’ll be an exciting surprise on Christmas Day.
The Surprising Power of a Good Dumpling
I haven’t actually asked for this from anyone, so I don’t expect to receive it, but it’s on my WL so it would be an AMAZING surprise if one of my friends had got it for me.
Crooked Kingdom Collector’s Edition
I was lucky enough to get a copy of the Six of Crows Collector’s Edition last year, so I’d love to receive the CK Collector’s Edition this year.
They match so beautifully and I love the sprayed edges.
Other Words for Smoke
This is another book that I’ve heard great things about but haven’t had a chance to pick up yet. Who knows, maybe it’ll be waiting for me under the tree.
Sorcery of Thorns
I read this earlier in 2019 on audio and loved it. So although I haven’t asked for a copy, I’d be thrilled if one turned up on Christmas day.
Which books are you hoping to receive on Christmas day (if you celebrate)?
The Collectors Edition of Crooked Kingdom looks divine. I definitely wouldn’t mind waking up to that book. Hope you have a lovely Christmas. 😀
I want to read Mooncakes and The Starless Sea, I hope you get both of these and the rest of the ones you wish for. Merry Christmas!
I’m so excited to hear you loved Sorcery of Thorns! I just got it for Christmas from a friend! I’m so thrilled to read it! That collectors edition is so beautiful!! I hope you get the ones you requested for Christmas! 😀
Amber @ Escape Life in the Pages
I hope you get all of these!
Oooh now I’m too curious! You absolutely /need/ to tell me which books were under your Christmas tree! They all look amazing 😍
