First off, since this post is scheduled to go up on Christmas Day, I’ve gotta say Merry Christmas friends! I hope you’re all having a wonderful day.
This holiday season, Vicky @WhatVickyRead and Amanda @AmandaBBooks are hosting End of Yearathon, and I’m planning to join in.
End of Yearathon runs from 26th December to 31st December, with the aim of finishing as many books as you can before the end of 2019.
Vicky’s announcement post has more details, but there are several challenges (listed below) that I’m hoping to fulfill.
I’m trying to hit a couple of challenges for the readathon. Here are the books I’ve chosen for each challenge:
Read a 2019 release
- Mooncakes
Read a book with a red cover
- Red, White and Royal Blue
(Cheating slightly with this one because it has some red on the cover and in the title, but the book isn’t fully red. I feel like it counts though?)
Read a book from a series
- Finish King of Scars
(KOS is the first book in a duology, and I’ve been halfway through it since January, so I’m using this prompt as motivation to finally and finish it.)
Read a book under 300 pages
- Fence volume 3
Read a book that was released before 2019
- I’m actually not going to do this prompt, but instead I’m going to read a 2020 ARC. The ARC I’ve chosen is Throne of Swans.
Read a diverse book
- Loveboat, Taipei
I’ll be using the #EndOfYearathon hashtag on Twitter to track my progress throughout the readathon. I’m not sure if I’ll get all six books finished, but let’s wait and see.
In the mean time, I’m wishing you all a wonderful Christmas (if you celebrate)!
Do you take part in many readathons? Are you taking part in End of Yearathon?
I’m going to take part in this readathon too! Not sure I’ve got anything with a red cover though 🤔
Sounds like a lovely list, good luck!!
