Top Ten Tuesday // Books I’d want to be stranded on a desert island with

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week’s theme is:

July 27: Books I’d Want With Me While Stranded On a Deserted Island

I would struggle BIG TIME to live on a dessert island without my bookshelves and audiobooks, but having ten books while there would definitely be better than none.

For my ten picks, I’ve chosen five favourites and five books on my TBR because I’d definitely want a few books I haven’t read yet.

These are just a few of my five star favourites from the last few years. I read and loved Cemetery Boys and Legendborn this year so I’d definitely want to take them for rereads. Evelyn Hugo and Priory were instant faves from last year and Priory is huge so I’d have plenty of reading material. And who would I be if I didn’t take ADSOM with me.

These books are all super high up on my TBR, so I’d want to take them with me and enjoy them while I figured out how to get off the island or how to get rescued.

Which books would you want to read if you were stranded on a desert island? Would you take favourites or unread books?.

  1. Priory and A Darker Shade of Magic are certainly good choices! Although if we were only able to have one book rather than one book in a series, I’d probably change ADSOM for Addie la Rue. I don’t think I could take the first book in a favourite series without having access to the rest of it!
