Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This week’s theme is:
July 20: Books I Read In One Sitting (or would have if I had the time)
I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not a very fast reader, so there are times when I want to finish a book in a day, but it’s just a too long and I can’t quite do it.
These are some of the books I would have liked to finish in a day, but didn’t manage it.
I read Pumpkin, Cemetery Boys, and RWRB in physical format, so although I was trying to blaze though them (because they were really addictive), there was no way I was going to finish them in one sitting (RWRB is over 500 pages).
I listened to Be Dazzled and Blackout on audio, so I had more chance of finishing them in one go because I typically listen to audiobooks on 1.8 or 2.0x speed. But, I read both when I was having pretty busy weeks (at separate times this year), so circumstances meant it just wasn’t possible.
I thoroughly enjoyed all of these books and Fable and Legendborn were so addictive that I wanted to read them all in one go, even though I didn’t have time. I came very close to reading The Black Tides of Heaven all in one go because the audiobook was only 4.5 (ish) hours long, but I think I ended up finishing it the next day.
Which books have you read in one sitting? Or, if you’re a slower reader like me, which books did you come close to reading in one sitting?

I felt the same way about Pumpkin and Blackout. Such page turners!
I devoured Be Dazzled. That book warmed my heart and made me smile, and it was so much fun.
I really want to read Fable, it looks so good!
