Top Ten Tuesday // Books that made me laugh out loud

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week’s theme is:

February 23: Books That Made Me Laugh Out Loud

It’s quite rare for a book to make me laugh out loud (am I humourless??? Or is this the same for everyone?) so when a book does, I know that it’s clicked with my sense of humour really well. And if a book can make me laugh, it’s usually a hit.

So here are 10 books that got me chuckling, cackling, or snorting with laughter.

These five books are probably some of the funniest I’ve ever read. Red, White & Royal Blue in particular had me bursting out laughing at regular intervals and I really enjoyed the dry humour of Boyfriend Material. Cemetery Boys is a recent read for me (I FINALLY READ IT Y’ALL, PRAISE BLESS) but it’s definitely left a lasting impression and gave me a lot of chuckles.

The Fence graphic novel series seems to get funnier as it progresses, so volume 4 gave me a lot of laughs. Same with Nimona, that book has so many good moments. I remember being tickled by the humour in Get a Life, Chloe Brown too, so I’m hoping the rest of the books in the series will be the same for me.

Which books have made you laugh? Have you read any of these?
