Yes, friends, we’re into the last month of the year and The Final Countdown now lives rent-free in my brain. There are so many books I wanted to read this year that I still haven’t got to, but I’m hoping to power through a few of them in the final few weeks of 2020.
Sadly, I’m unlikely to be going on any queer adventures over Christmas due to covid, but I am hoping to read about some queer adventures. Here are the books on my December TBR.
The City of Brass

It’s finally happening. I’m finally starting this series. I’ve been wanting to read The City of Brass since the first book released so I’m really looking forward to picking it up, even though it’s take me until the series is over to do so. π
Get It Right

I started this novella in November and I’m keen to finish it before the end of the year. It’s a sweet sapphic romance between a nurse and a parolee.
Cemetery Boys

This is the fourth consecutive month that I’d added this book to my TBR, but I’m DEFINITELY reading it in December. 100%.
Criminal Intentions: It’s Witchcraft

This is the fifth book in the Criminal Intentions series and I know I’m definitely going to be reading this in December because I’ve already started it. π
I’ve been thoroughly enjoying this series in 2020, so I want to read at least one more before the year is over.
The Extraordinaries

This is the queer adventure I was talking about (although to be honest, that description could apply to quite a few books on this list). A YA novel about superheroes and queer romance that I was lucky enough to get an ARC of on Netgalley. And somehow haven’t read in the months I’ve had it??? I’m hoping that December is finally going to be the month for it though.
When the Tiger Came Down the Mountain

Oh my god, I’m so excited for this sequel. It just released today in the UK and I’ve already spied that the audiobook is on Scribd so I’m going to be listening to it ASAP.
A Reaper at the Gates

I read the first two books in the Ember quarter earlier this year and instantly fell in love with the series. It lived up to every bit of hype it’s been given.
The fourth and final book just released a , so I’m hoping to read the third book in December and then maybe the final book in January. (I’m scared, please let my faves survive Sabaa.)
Which books are you hoping to read in December? Have you read any of these, or do you think I should prioritise anything in particular?
