In August I’m taking part in a book club group read, a buddy read, and continuing with Schwab readalong, so it’s going to be a fun, busy month.
Here are the books on my TBR.
A Darker Shade of Magic
This is the second book we’re reading for Schwab Readalong and it’ll be my third time reading ADSOM (or my second reread). I’m honestly really stoked to dive back into this world (again).
An American Marriage
I’m buddy reading this with my friend Sim and I’m really looking forward to it. My library has the audiobook for this, so I think I might switch between audio and physical if I can borrow their copy.
A Song of Wraiths and Ruin
This is the August pick for Alison’s book club, so I’ll be reading it for our group discussions on the discord. I’ve been meaning to pick this one up since June, so I’m excited to finally be getting to it.
Iron Heart
This is the sequel to Crier’s War, which was one of my favourite books of 2019. I was lucky enough to be accepted into the Caffeine Tours blog tour for this sequel and I literally screamed when I got the email. It’s one of my most anticipated releases of 2020 and I’m ready to have my heart crushed.
Pet
I was very kindly gifted TWO copies of this book for my birthday from my wonderful friends Kirsty and Lily, so I’m really keen to read it in August.
How to be an Antiracist
My library hold for this came in recently, so I checked it out and will be reading it in August.

I hope you love A Song of Wraiths and Ruin! I’ve heard really great things about it, but I’ve also seen the TW list, so I’m a *little* worried about how I’m going to feel about it.

My August will be dedicated to frantically trying to read all my library books in time for their due dates. I am afraid that when the library first opened back up for holds pick-up, I went a little nuts on how many books I checked out. 😛
