FinishAThon is a brand new readathon, hosted by Tazmyn May, whose Booktube channel is TeaBooksandTazmyn.
The readathon is taking place from 27th July to 2nd August and the aim is to finish some (or all) of the books that you’re current reading, or have been trying to finish for a while.

My TBR
These are the books I’m hoping to FINALLY finish for this readathon.
Incendiary

I’ve started this in April and was enjoying this so much that I wondered if it was going to be my next 5 star read. So I honestly don’t know why I put it down??? I can’t explain it. But I’m hoping to finally finish it this week and find out if it is a new favourite.
The Archived

I’ve been reading this throughout July for Schwab Readalong, that Alison and I are hosting and I need to finish it for our liveshow on 30th July! So, of course, it’s getting added to my FinishAThon TBR.
Loveless

I’ve only been reading this for the last week, but I know I’m going to get it finished in the next day or two so I’m cheating (???) and adding it to my TBR because it’s an easy win. π
Queen of Coin and Whispers

This is another book that I started reading in April/May and have been gradually reading a chapter here
King of Scars

OK, time to call myself out. This is the book that’s been on my currently reading shelf for the longest. I started reading it just after it released. In 2018. AND I STILL HAVEN’T FINISHED IT. But now is finally the time. I’ve only got 80 pages left. Let’s go. We’re going to have a readathon miracle.
The Revolutionary and the Rogue

I’ve only been reading this book for about a week, but I’m struggling a little because *whispers* it’s a little dull and not very well written. I’m 40% of the way through the e-book, so I’m going to try and get it finished this week.
The Court of Miracles

And the final book on my FinishAThon TBR is my current audiobook. This should be the book I’m most likely to get finished during the readathon because I’m already over half way through the audiobook, and it’s due back to my library in 24 hours, so it’s now or never friends.
Yes, this is a pretty ambitious TBR, but since I’m 70-80% through a couple of these books already, I’m hopeful that I can finish quite a few of them.
Are taking part in any readathons this coming month? What’s on your August TBR?

Good luck with the readathon! I’m taking part too but my planned TBR is nowhere near as long π
Thanks my lovely! It ended up being a really fun readathon!
This is such an inspiring list! My problem is that all the books I’m part-way through are nonfiction, and while I live nonfiction, the prospect of spending a month mostly reading/finishing nonfiction is rather daunting. There is this one particular book about West African trade routes that I feel guilty about every time my eye falls on it. π
Aww, yeah that’s a tricky one! I definitely think non-fiction can require more concentration than fiction sometimes!
I love the name of this – Finishathon! I definitely need this in my life some months to push through some books. Good luck finishing all of yours!

Yeah, it was a really helpful readathon! I definitely think Taz will run it again in the future π
oops i really shouldve taken part inthis but its lowkey embarresing at just how many books im part way through. maybe ill get it under control by the end of august
Haha, don’t worry, I’m sure Taz will run it again in the future! I finished quite a few books for it, but I’ve definitely also started quite a few more since the end of the readathon π
