I started a Booktube channel???

That’s right folks, I did. I started a channel.

This is something I’ve been thinking about doing since 2015. So five years ago. FIVE YEARS.

But I never really had time during university, and once I finished I started working full time so it never happened.

But every few months for the last two years, I’ve had thoughts that I should do it.

Normally these thoughts (and corresponding motivation) ebb away after a few days, and I go back to my every day life.

But this time, the thoughts and excitement wouldn’t go away. So I decided it was a sign. Since we’re on lockdown and I have more free time, I decided to actually go for it.

I made myself a new banner so that it would match on here and on my channel, and I smashed that Create Channel button.

If you want to check out my channel, I’m Reading Through Infinity over on YouTube, same as on here.

I’ve got a couple of videos up so far, but I’ll, of course, be posting more in the coming weeks, including a HUGE January/February/March book haul. (Keep an eye out for it 😉 )

“But Kate”, I hear you ask. “Are you going to stop posting on your blog now you’ve got a channel?”

Never fear, friends. I will definitely not be stopping posting on my blog.

I started my blog about 3.5 years ago and it was one of my first creative outlets. It’s brings me so much joy and I love blogging. So I have no intention of stopping posting.

My plan is to continue posting reviews, Top Ten Tuesdays, lists, and discussion posts here on my blog, and on YouTube I’ll post content that’s more suited to video format.

If you want to subscribe to my channel, I would love that so much (and send you virtual cookies) but it’s entirely up to you!

I’m really excited about some of the things I’ve got planned for both my blog and my new channel, so I hope you’ll stick with me as I continue to explore what I can do on both.

Do you have a YouTube channel or any other creative outlets as well as your blog? Do you use social media to share your excitement about books? Drop your links in the comments and I’ll check them out.

Until next time,KateNEW
