End of Year Book Tag

I saw this tag on Amy @TomesWithTea‘s blog and it looked like a lot of fun, so I decided to give it a go.

I think the original creator of this is Ariel Bisset, so do check out her channel (she posts great content).

Are there any books you started this year you need to finish?

Um…yes.

The books I currently have ongoing and need to finish are:

And Call Down the Hawk on audio.

And my library copy of Somewhere Only We Know.

Help.

Do you have an autumnal book to transition to the end of the year?

I suppose Ninth House and Call Down the Hawk feel quite autumnal to me. But there are others I’m going to try to read before 2020 that feel pretty summery. So I’ll go with no.

Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?

46299614Actually, no. Reverie was my main anticipated December release, but that released on December 3rd.

So now, all the books I’m looking forward to are 2020 releases.

What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?

These are three books that won my Twitter poll when I asked you guys which books I should read before the end of the year. So I definitely want to try and get to them by 31st December. (Or two out of three at the very least.)

Is there a book that you think could still shock you and become your favourite?

Judging by how much everyone else loves it, I think Red, White & Royal Blue could be come a new favourite. It sounds cute and funny, and I’m a sucker for a gay romance.

Have you already made reading plans for 2020?

Yes! My plans are:

  • Read at least 90% of my current ARCs in January and February (before their release dates),
  • Take part in more readathons
  • Host Easter Readathon again over the Easter holidays
  • Finally read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and The Dark Vault

I’m sure I’ll make some more plans before 2020, but these are my current goals.

I wasn’t tagged to do this but I’m going to tag a few people (because I’m nosy and want to see their answers):

Layla @ReadableLife

Hollie @Hollieblog

Julia @Julia’sBookcase

Charvi @NotJustFiction

If you’ve done this tag or have decided to do it, please drop me a link to your post, so I can check it out!

Until next time,KateNEW

  1. I’m hoping The Dark Vault will be a 2020 read for me too. Also the Near Witch as I didn’t manage to get round to that this year.
