Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. This week’s theme is:
August 27th: Books I’ve Read That I’d Like In My Personal Library
There are often times when I borrow a book from the library or read the e-book version and decide that I’d like a physical copy because I enjoyed it so much. Here are just a few books I really want to pick up.
Sorcery of Thorns
I literally finished this yesterday on audio, and now I’m looking at prices for the hardback. This story was so exciting, funny, and dramatic, and I would low-key give my life for Nathaniel and Elisabeth.
To Kill A Kingdom
I seem to have been talking about this book non-stop for the last couple of weeks, but the impending release of Into The Crooked Place has reminded me how much I loved it. I read the e-book originally, so I guess it’s time to pick up a physical copy.
The Candle and the Flame
I only read this last month and already I want to get a physical copy. I loved the main characters, the world, and that cover is TOO MUCH.
Vengeance Road
This is the same story as above. Read the e-book, really enjoyed it, need to by a physical copy. Except with this one I read it in 2017 and STILL haven’t got the paperback. What am I doing.
Bloom
I was on the blog tour for Bloom when it first released, so I was lucky enough to be sent an e-ARC. And I loved it so much, but I still haven’t bought it???
When Dimple Met Rishi
You know the story. Read the e-book. Enjoyed the e-book immensely. Squealed. Made heart eyes.
Haven’t got round to buying the paperback.
Busily cursing myself.
The Weight of the Stars
I’m a poor excuse for a human because I have not. bought. this. book. yet. I borrowed it from the library and had so much fun reading about this band of wonderfully queer misfits.
Radio Silence
I actually already own a copy of this, but I own the older cover. I’d really like to get a version of the new cover so it matches my version of I Was Born For This.
The Music of What Happens
Me: *phones up Waterstones*
Waterstones clerk: Hello?
Me: Hi, I read this on audio a few months back and it was great so I’d now like to order one pretty US hardback please.
Do Not Say We Have Nothing
Oh look. What’s that I see before me? Is it another book that I borrowed from my library and loved but haven’t picked up a physical copy for my shelves?
Yes, yes it is.
Which books do you want to get physical copies of?
I would like a hard copy of Sorcery of Thorns too. I started listening to it on audiobook yesterday but I unfortunately didn’t take in most of the three chapters I listened to. I really want to continue reading it, but I think it is one of those books I need to read physically and not via audio.
I have Sorcery of Thorns on my list as well!
Damn I need some of those now too
Great List! I read Sorcery of Thorns as an Arc and I desperately need my own copy soon 🥰 I gladly already own Radio Silence in the new cover, so it fits – just have to read Solitaire now 🙂
Great choices! Quite a few of those are on my TBR.
I saw Bloom and The Music of What Happens in Barnes and Noble whilst I was in NYC and they both looked so gorgeous!
Great list! SO many of these books are on my TBR. I’ve heard so many good things about Sorcery of Thorns that I need to pick it up soon. 😀
I’m totally with you on Sorcery of Thorns and To Kill a Kingdom. They’re two of the prettiest books on my shelves, so I hope you get a copy of them soon!
I went a different route this week since I’m trying to save $$ lol and decided to do a color-themed TTT post. Feel free to check it out here: https://bit.ly/345xzHi
Oh man, I’m in the same boat with SO many books. Read it as an ebook and haven’t gotten around to buying a physical copy, or own an old cover and want the newer, prettier cover! I highly recommend getting the updated Radio Silence cover, though – Alice Oseman’s books look so pretty on a shelf together! 😀
