Top Ten Tuesday // Books on my summer TBR

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. This week’s theme is:

June 25: Books On My Summer 2019 TBR

Disclaimer: I had to narrow this down from about 45 books to 10, PRAISE ME PLEASE.

Some of these I want to read for pride, some because they’ve got summery vibes, and some because they’re releasing in June/July and sound fantastic. I honestly don’t know if I’ll get to all of them, but I sure as HECK am going to try.

Which books are on your summer TBR? Are there any of these that I should bump up to the top of my list?

Until next time,KateNEW

  1. Great list! So many of these are books I want to read – I need to get to The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, We Hunt the Flame and The Candle and the Flame. I’ve seen so many good reviews for Red, White & Royal Blue that I’d like to give that one a try, too.

  2. Every time I see someone mention Evelyn Hugo, I admit I get really excited. I devoured this book in a single sitting and reread it only days later. So I love to see what other people think about it and really hope you enjoy. I just started listening to Hot Dog Girl and it’s quite funny, not far in but I think it will certainly be an enjoyable listen!

  3. “Red, White & Royal Blue” is fantastic! I really enjoyed it! I also want to read “Tell Me How You Really Feel” … it sounds so lovely! And I love the nature like quality of the cover … might have to buy this one.

    Lovely post!

  4. I’m so looking forward to We Hunt The Flame! I thought I was being sent a review copy but alas, I missed out. Heart break. BUT just means I get to anticipate it for longer!

  5. Ah this is a lovely TBR, Kate! I can’t wait for you to read The Black Veins, I had such a good time reading this one. And Evelyn Hugo AH I LOVE THIS BOOK so much I hope you will too ❤ Happy reading! ❤

  6. Okay, that cover for The Candle and the Flame is an absolute stunner!! How have I not heard of this one before? I’m usually all over the pretty book covers haha. I keep seeing Evelyn Hugo everywhere, probably a sign I should read it haha.

  7. I’ve seen a lot of people with We Hunt The Flame either on their TBR or having read it recently so I think I’m going to take the hint and add it to mine as well. Also, The Storm Crow has such a beautiful cover I’m tempted to pick it up myself!

  8. Hallo, Hallo Kate!!

    *bows in admiration for your TTT skills!*

    I didn’t cap mine @ 10. Didn’t even try… I spent too many years trying to do that and lost out participating and after receiving a heap of advice from blogger friends, I decided to just post the lists which make sense to me at the time I draft them – some might be 10, others might be 20 but overall, I just want to start having fun with the meme! 🙂

    After Cerys’s review for Red, White & Royal Blue, I knew that wasn’t my cuppa – so I returnt the audiobook unlistened to from the library! lol

    * Aurora Rising
    * Tell Me How You Really Feel
    * The Candle and the Flame
    * We Hunt the Flame

    Are stories which interest me as well! 🙂 Of these, I have the hardback of “We Hunt the Flame” right now to be reading! Whilst I have the audiobook for “The Candle and the Flame” via my library! I’m so excited about both of them! For CANDLE, it was a random find on my library’s OverDrive app. For the other, I’ve been following the blogger for quite a long while now and am thrilled she received her first novel. These two are also mentioned on my TTT post!

    You’ll find out why I’m focusing on what I call #MyYASummer!
