Yes friends, this month, I’m taking part in TWO different reading challenges. They both sounded so good and I couldn’t choose between then, so I thought:
The challenges I’m doing are:
- Aro Ace April, run by Imi @ImiReviewsBooks and Ellie @FaerieontheShelf
- #ARCAttack run by Vicky @WhatVickyRead
The aim of Aro Ace April is to read books with a-spec representation. The aim of #ARCAttack is to get through as many ARCs on your TBR as possible.
My TBR for Aro Ace April looks like this:
And this is my TBR for #ARCAttack:
For the Aro Ace April bingo challenge, I’m trying to complete the top line.
Contemp/historical/romance novel feat. an a-spec character: Tash Hearts Tolstoy
A book from a new-to-you author: The Last Magician/Tash Hearts Tolstoy
A rec from a friend: The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy
Are you taking part in any reading challenges this month? Have you read any of the books on my TBR(s)?
Ahh Aro Ace April looks so cool! I need to read more aro/ace stories. I hope you enjoy The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy – I loved it! 😀 Good luck with these reading challenges!
Yeah, I’m pleased to be taking part in it, as I also want to read more aro-ace rep and Tash Hearts Tolstoy has been on my TBR for aaaages. Thanks Jess, I have a feeling that I’ll love the Lady’s Guide! 🙂
I love seeing that there are more and more books out there with Aro/Ace representation, and Aro Ace April seems like a brilliant challenge too. Actually good luck with both of these challenges Kate. I’ve only read The Ladies Guide and The Last Magician myself and both are really good. I actually need to re-read The Last Magician before starting the second book in the series.
Great post, and happy reading. 🙂 ❤
Yeah, aro/ace rep is still very much under-represented in LGBT+ books, but it’s great to see that the numbers of book with this rep are growing. I would have actually read Summer Bird Blue for this challenge, but I already read it last month! I’m looking forward to the Lady’s Guide, because I loved the Gent’s Guide. Thanks Beth, hope you have a super month!
Good luck and happy reading.
Thanks so much! I hope you have a super month too 😊
I love the idea of ARCAttack – I think I’m kind of doing that at the moment without officially actually doing it, haha! Happy reading – good luck with keeping up with both challenges, looks like it will be a fun month for you!
I thought it was a great idea too and I’m so glad Vicky decided to make it an April challenge, because I have lots of ARCs to get through this month. Aww thanks Lindsey, I hope you have a super reading month too!
You are very busy!
Haha yes! It’s going to be a full-on month!
Ah I’m happy that you’re participating! We have some of the same books on our TBRs for the month. I hope you manage to get to them all 😀
Yes! I noticed that we had chosen some of the same books for our TBRs! Hopefully we both enjoy them (and could even do a buddy read if we’re reading them at the same time?) 🙂
I love that “Both? Both.” gif so much lol. Everytime I see it, it just makes me smile and nod my head. Always resonates with me haha. I absolutely love the themes/readathons happening this month! have fun! :))
