Book Hauls

Feb 2019 Book Haul // Sapphic stories and sprayed edges

I’m way behind in posting this haul, but I wanted to share some of the books I got in February.

I got six books in total and one of the most exciting for me was The Near Witch, because I’ve been looking forward to its re-release for ages.

I was also sent Summer Bird Blue by the lovely people at Ink Road and The Devouring Gray by Titan, both of which are two of my most anticipated releases for spring.

I’ve actually already read SBB and can confirm it’s wonderful. I’d highly recommend pre-ordering of requesting it from your local library.

I’m also a little bit in love with the sprayed edges of TDG; they’re so vibrant and really fit the cover colours.

The lovely Jennie @Jenniely sent me a copy of The Love and Lies of Rukhsana Ali, which is an f/f coming of age story.

Quirk were also kind enough to send me The Princess and the Fangirl, another sapphic novel that I finished over the weekend and adored.

I was also lucky enough to win a copy of The Kingdom of Copper in a giveaway from Harper Voyager, and I can’t get over how beautiful this hardback is. It matches The City of Brass so well.

Huge thanks to the publishers who sent me advance copies of these books!

Have you read any of these? Do you plan to pick any of them up during spring?

Until next time,KateNEW

    1. Thanks my lovely! I need to read both City of Brass AND Kingdom of Copper, I’m so behind! I haven’t read TDG yet, but I’m hoping to have a review up later this month once I’ve read it, so I’ll let you know what I think then 🙂

  1. I really need a copy of The Devouring Gray! I’ve been interested in reading it – I follow the author on Twitter and she’s so nice – but then I saw the UK edition with those sprayed edges and knew I NEEDED it. I’ll definitely be checking out this sapphic books, too, and one of these days I’ll get around to The City of Brass…

    1. Yeah, I really love how it the KOC hardback matches the City of Brass hardback. The Goldsboro edition has green sprayed edges too, which look so good. I do like the US covers though; they almost look a little more sci-fi than fantasy, but I really like the designs 🙂
