TBRs and Wrap ups

January 2019 TBR // A whole host of ARCs and a secret manuscript

This is my first TBR of 2019 and, guys, I’m really excited for the books coming out over the next few months. There are going to be so many amazing debuts, I have actual heart-eyes just thinking about them. 😍 Also, what’s the collective noun for a group of ARCs? Does anyone know? Because I need to use this term in my daily life, since I’m lucky enough to have a lot of them to read at the moment. If there’s not a term, I’m inventing one.

I’m not setting my TBR too high for this month because I want to read my ARC of Priory before it releases in February and she’s HUGE. We’re talking 850 pages of fantasy goodness, which is definitely going to take me a while to get through, but I’m really excited. The few people I know who have either already read it or are currently reading it have said it’s amazing.

Not pictured here is a secret manuscript that I was sent by a publisher and am planning to read this month. (I’m screaming.) I’ll be revealing the cover later on in January, so keep an eye out for that post.

I also want to read King of Scars as soon as it comes out, but since it releases at the end of January, I don’t think I’ll get it finished by the end of the month, so I haven’t included it in my TBR.

What are you hoping to read in January? Are there any new releases that you’re excited to read?

Until next time,KateNEW

  1. I have SO MUCH on my TBR for January but weirdly a lot of them are February or March releases? I’m excited to read Master of Sorrows and also We are Blood and Thunder (gosh that one isn’t until April!) but I’ve also got a load of library/owned books to get through. Looks like we’re both in for a busy reading month.

Savour every moment of Priory, it is utterly amazing and I wish I could read it for the first time again!

    1. Yeah, I’m the same. There are other books I want to try and get to this month that I didn’t add (because I’m not sure I’ll have time for them), and they’re virtually all February and March/April releases! I got approved for an ARC of We Are Blood and Thunder on Netgalley and I’m really excited to read it. 🙂 Aww thanks, I can’t wait to start Priory, need to get to it soon! 😀 Happy reading!

  2. Ohh Enchantée! I read that one at the beginning of the month and I enjoyed it, but… it didn’t wow me, either. I’ll be looking forward to your thoughts on that one 😀
    Happy reading ❤

  3. Amazing TBR, I have all of these except Priory which I am dying to read! I’ve read Outside and really enjoyed it. I’m hoping to read Monsters this month too. I’m currently reading All The Lonely People by David Owen and it is very intriguing!

    1. Thanks Kelly! I’m reading Outside right now and I’m enjoy it, but I’ve just got to the ‘turning point’ and the narrative is quite muddled. I suppose that’s the point because Ele is disorientated, but I could do with some clarity soon! I’m so excited to read Priory asap, but I think it’s going to take me at least two weeks! Ooh how is that?

  4. Priory sounds amazing tbh, I love chunkers of fantasy books! I don’t have an ARC though so I’ll just wait until release day 😁 I have a lot of books on my tbr anyways from the library and my own so I’ll be satisfied.
