Book Hauls

May 2018 Book Haul // I’m pretending this isn’t two months late, humour me

You know when you thought you released a post, but it was actually just sitting in your drafts for 734 years? Well, yes, that.

But never mind, I still wanted to share some of the books I picked up in May because there were some great new releases out and I also traded with a few friends, meaning I had quite a pile by the end of the month.

At the beginning of May I went to another Midlands book bloggers meet up in Birmingham, and in all the Waterstones excitement and book recs, I pick up a couple of new reads.

Spurred on by my blogging pals, I treated myself to I Was Born For This and Leah On The Offbeat, both of which I’ve read and I loved IWBFT, but didn’t enjoy Leah as much as I hoped.

While at the meet up, I also traded for State of Sorrow and Undercover Princess, and on Twitter I traded for AN ARC OF CITY OF GHOSTS, which I still can’t believe I own. I’ve read it and it was EVERYTHING.

During May, I also bought Air Awakens off the wonderful Hollie @hollieblog, and picked up American Panda when it was on offer. I’ve not read either of these yet, but I’m keen to get to them soon.

Did you purchase any books in May? Do you ever trade for ARC or finished copies of books?

Until next time

  1. I loved I Was Born For This and really enjoyed State of Sorrow, but felt quite meh about Undercover Princess which was annoying as it sounded so up my alley! I still have Leah on my TBR 💜

  2. I love the artwork for the Air Awaken series. I should really get back to reading the series cause the first one was okay, so I am curious to see how things develop.
