Top Ten Tuesday: A trio of red, white, and blue on book covers

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. This week’s theme is:

July 3: Books with Red, White, & Blue Covers

For this week’s theme, I decided to give myself the extra challenge of doing this with books that are either on my TBR or I’ve already read. Since the UK union flag colours are also red, white, and blue, I went for a general gradient of all three colours across the ten books.

I’ve read six out of these ten, and four are on my TBR. I think the covers for American Street, Ink and Bone, and The Girl From Everywhere are the best here, as they incorporate a mix of all three colours.

Which cover is your favourite on here? Have you read any of these books?

Until next time

  1. So many pretty covers!!! I will always love the cover for the Raven King. It just looks so magical and majestic. American Street also has a pretty epic cover to it. I love it!

    1. Hehe thanks Lois! I’m actually not too fussed on the other Raven Cycle covers, but I really like the Raven King cover. Yeah, I love American Street, I hope I can find a copy with this exact cover when I come to read it. 🙂

  2. These are some gorgeous covers. I’m especially glad to see The Mime Order because that’s part of one of my all-time favourite series, and I love the covers for all The Raven Cycle books! 😀 I do have to say I’m not a massive fan of the UK cover for The Girl From Everywhere, I guess I just prefer the US version. 🙂
    Great post Kate.

    1. Thanks Beth! I’ve still not read The Bone Season, but I’m sure I’ll get to it eventually 😛 Ooh that’s interesting that you don’t like the UK cover of The Girl From Everywhere so much, because I’m not a fan of the US cover – I think it’s too plain!

  3. I really like the covers you picked. The cover of American Street is gorgeous, I am very curious about that book.
