June is quite possibly the best month of the year; it’s summer, it’s pride, and it’s my birthday month! It’ll come as a surprise to no-one that I’ve asked for quite a few books for my birthday, so my TBR may change on 9th June, but you all need to hold me accountable for reading the books below.
Since it’s pride month, I wanted to read as many books with LGBTQIA+ characters as possible, so four out of the five books on my TBR have queer characters in them. I’m trying to read more sapphic fiction too, since m/m gets a lot of attention in the book community, but f/f gets far less, so Out Of The Blue, Of Fire and Stars, and The Long Way To A Small, Angry Planet all have canon f/f couples in them.
What will you be reading in June? Are you doing anything for pride month? If you want to celebrate my birthday with me, feel free to come give me a wave on 9th on my twitter.
Out Of The Blue and Of Fire and Stars both sound so good based on the blurb, although I’ve heard mixed reviews about the second one.
A Long Way To A Small Angry Planet has the best title ever and it’s been on my TBR for so long, but I still haven’t read it. It fits one of my prompts for MarvelAThon, so maybe this month?
I’m not really doing anything differently for Pride month because most books I read are queer anyway, but I am participating in MarvelAThon and I’m doing my best to fill as many prompts with queer books as I can 😀 So far I think only one book I read was non-queer.
Happy birthday!
Of Fire and Stars is on my TBR. I can’t wait to hear what you think about it. I love the plot. It sounds like such a cute story.
I really liked The Long Way to A Small Angry Planet, such a unique book with a lovely cast of characters ❤
Good luck with your TBR! 🙂 I really need to read Of Fire and Stars, because this book has been on my TBR too long + the paperback is finally out + there is a sequel now 🙂
