If I’m being generous with myself, I’d say that this is a list of books that I’m still incredibly excited about but was too overambitious with my monthly TBRs to get to this year. But, if I’m being honest, I’d say that this is my shame list. These are the books I intended to read in 2017, but am ashamedly going to have to get to in 2018 instead. Whoops.
I know that we still have two weeks of 2017 left, but my December TBR is all fixed and none of these are on it so they sadly aren’t going to get read this year. I was counting down the days until some of these books were released, too, and yet I still didn’t get to them. Why am I like this?
I particularly disappointed I didn’t manage to read Strange the Dreamer, War Cross, and Queens of Geek, as I’ve read some really exciting reviews of them. I’ve also got ebooks of all three, as well as Jane, Unlimited, The Last Magician, Spellbook of the Lost and Found, and The Library of Fates, and yet I still didn’t find time to pick them up. There’s definitely hope for 2018 though, since I’m feeling more motivated to get to them after having made this list.
Which book do you think I should prioritise out of those listed here? Are there any books that you were desperate to read this year and then didn’t manage to pick them up? Share your lists with me!
