I finished the wonderful Language of Thorns last week and am now reading The Handmaid’s Tale.
‘It’s not the husbands you have to watch out for, said Aunt Lydia, it’s the Wives. You should always try to imagine what they must be feeling. Of course they will resent you. It’s only natural.’
So far this is as dark and intense as expected for arguably one of the most well-known dystopian novels ever written, and I can’t wait to see where it goes next.
