Blogmas Day 12: Top Ten Tuesday – Favourite books of 2017

Blogmas Day 12

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature created by Jamie over at The Broke and The Bookish. The feature was created because Jamie is loves lists, and this weeks theme is:

December 12: Top Ten Favorite Books of 2017

There were lots of books I really enjoyed over the course of the year, and since I was already planning on doing a post about my ‘best books of 2017’, with the books I rated 5 stars, here are some that I gave different ratings to, but absolutely loved.

Unsurprisingly, there are two V. E. Schwab books on there, a Leigh Bardugo, and a Laini Taylor book. Three of my favourite authors. There are also quite a few 5 star reads that will also be making an appearance on my best books of the year post.

Other honorable mentions include:
Invictus by Ryan Graudin
Moxie by Jennifer Mathieu
Hold Your Own by Kate Tempest (which is perhaps the best poetry anthology I’ve ever read)
The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli (which I just finished today)
The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue (which I’m reading right now)

What are some of your favourite books of 2017? Do you agree with any on this list? Let me know!

Until next time, Kate

  1. AH! I love this kind of blogposts! I really loved The Hate U Give, When Dimple Met Rishi, Moxie and The Upside of Unrequited as well. I still need to read Our Dark Duet and Language of Thorns soon!! 🙂

    1. Thank you! Yesss, they were all so good! I can’t believe how good The Upside of Unrequited was, I’m so happy it lived up to all the hype! I can’t recommend both Our Dark Duet and Language of Thorns enough, I gave them 4.5 and 5 stars respectively. 🙂
