Hey guys, I’m so happy it’s Friday!
The Friday 56 is a weekly blog meme hosted by Freda’s Voice. The idea is to share an excerpt from a book you’ve been reading every Friday, to promote the book or simply just to showcase your current read!
Rules:
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader
(If you have to improvise, that’s OK.)
*Find any sentence, (or few, just don’t spoil it)
*Post it.
*Add your (url) post below in Linky. Add the post url, not your blog url.
*It’s that simple
This week, as I’ve just finished it an hour ago, I’ve chosen a quote from Dreams of Gods and Monsters.
Blood Soldier of the Misbegotten, Melliel, Second Barer of that Name, was not young, and in her lifetime she had seen many stormhunters, but never more than half a dozen in one place, and always at the sky’s farthest edge, moving in a line. But here were dozens. Dozens interweaving with more dozens.
I finished Dreams of Gods and Monsters this afternoon on my way home from work and I cried on the bus while reading the final chapter. What an emotional, fulfilling ending.
Have you read the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy? What did you think? Have you also ever cried in public while reading a book? Let me know!
I loved the DoSaB trilogy! It’s been a long time since I read it though, I really should plan for a reread!
It’s wonderful. I loved reading the series and I’m sad to sad goodbye to these characters now!
