Top Ten Tuesday [Hiatus #2]: Graphic Novels I’d like to begin before the end of 2017

Hey guys!

As I mentioned last week, Top Ten Tuesday is on hiatus until mid-August so Jamie @ The Broke and The Bookish kindly said we could create our own topics in the mean time. Last week I did 10 literary fiction books I want to read, so this week I decided to go for something completely different and look at the 10 graphic novels I want to begin before the year is over.

In no particular order, here they are!

Yes, there are a lot of bright colours and magical girls, but both are things I unashamedly love and want to see/read more of in graphic novels. Plus I’ve heard rave reviews about most of these, (looking at you Nimona, Saga, and Squirrel Girl) so I’m eager to try and pick some up or borrow them from a library before 2017 is out.

Which graphic novels do you want to read before the end of the year? Are there any on this list which you’ve read and loved? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time, Kate

  1. I got Nimona for my birthday a few months ago, and I’ve read the first issue of Saga. Can confirm they are both amazing!! Saga is definitely a lot more gritty, where Nimona is a lot more fluffy & quirky humour. It only took me a day to read Nimona because it was so good!!!

  2. I’ve never read a graphic novel but I am intrigued by them. I’ve heard nothing but great things about Nimona and Saga and I definitely think I should check them out. Sandman is another one that looks really good as well.

  3. I really should try and read some more graphic novels. The only one on your list I’ve actually read is Nimona but I really enjoyed it (I think you will too) and meant to get around to more from that genre but then other books got in the way and I kind of forgot. One day though. 🙂
I really hope you enjoy all these Kate, they seem like great picks! 😀

  4. Out of all of those I have read Nimona and Saga – they were both amazing! 😀 I really want to read Monstress, as I have heard many great things about it and the art looks beautiful.
