Top Ten Tuesday: Best Books I’ve Read So Far This Year

Hey guys, it’s another lovely Tuesday!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted over at The Broke and The Bookish, and this week’s theme is:

What an excellent topic. I can really go to town on this one. In no particular order, have some scorchingly good reads.

4. Retribution Rails

So these are my ten best reads of the 2017 as it stands. I rated all of them 4, 4.5, or 5 stars, and every single one made me feel such astounding emotions for different reasons.

What are your favourite reads of the year so far? Have you read any of the books on this list? I’d love to hear from you!

Until next time, Kate

  1. Ahh so many books that I need to read on your list!! Carry On has been on my TBR for AGES and I need to read This Savage Song before I even can get to Our Dark Duet (which has a GORGEOUS cover, also). Great list! 🙂

    1. Carry On is AMAZING! I’m sure you’ll love it! Yes, TSS and ODD are both excellent! V’s ability to create incredible, intricate characters never ceases to amaze me. And the cover ARE gorgeous, I have the UK editions but I’d like to get the US ones at some point too. 🙂

  2. omg so many amazing titles! you’ve had a good reading year so far! some of these I still have to read but I’ve only heard amazing things (:

    1. Aww thanks my lovely! It feels like it’s been a pretty good year so far – I’ve been trying to read more diversely, and reading books that I actually want to read rather than books I feel like I have to read. I can’t recommend these ten enough, is there one (or two) in particular that you’re eager to get to? 🙂 (Also thanks SO much for following!)

      1. You’re very welcome for the follow, it’s my pleasure! sorry it took me a while to reply, I’m still getting used to WordPress haha but to answer your question, I think The Hate U Give would be the one I’m most eager to get to! Especially at this time, seems like the best choice. Happy reading! (:

        1. Aww no worries, WordPress has a lot of features, so it can take a little while to figure them all out. The Hate U Give is a stunning book, so I really hope you enjoy it when you get to it. It’s one of those books that I’d recommend to everyone and anyone because it’s so culturally important!

    1. Thanks, I hope you enjoy them when you get to them!
And WOW thank you so much! That’s so lovely of you to think of me! *blushes* I’ve been really behind with tags recently, but I’m determined to catch up, so I’ll get on this ASAP! 😀

  3. I love your summary reaction to Days of Blood and Starlight. Very fitting I’d say haha. The Hate U Give is still on my tbr list and hopefully I can tick it off by the end of the year.

    1. It’s true Lois! I finished it on Sunday and I just sat and stared at it for a solid 5 minutes. SO MANY THINGS HAPPENED IN THE LAST 50 PAGES! It was very intense, but in the best possible way. The Hate U Give is such a powerful book, I honestly can’t recommend it enough!

  4. Seeing Our Dark Duet on this list placed a smile on my face!! I plan on starting A Darker Shade of Magic some time in July and be a part of the Fandom lol. I also really want to read THUG and When Dimple Met Rishi. This list made me happy and excited!

    1. Aww thanks Gretchen! I felt pretty emotionally wrecked after reading it, but still absolutely loved it. Oooh let me know when you begin ADSOM, I love seeing people read it for the first time since it’s one of my favourite books. Thanks so much for stopping by! ❤
