Top Ten Tuesday: 10 Fantasy Series I Desperately Need To Get To

Hey guys, happy Tuesday!

It’s that time of the week again! Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted over at The Broke and The Bookish, and this week’s theme is:

June 20:  Top Ten Series I’ve Been Meaning To Start But Haven’t

Ooooh this is a great topic! There are soooo many books I could add to this list, but I’ve gone for the ten fantasy series I’m most eager to start but somehow haven’t! (This doesn’t include duologies.)

Some of these have been on my TBR for way too long and I actually own the first books in the series (The Bone Season and The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms) so hopefully I’ll pick them up soon.

Which book series are at the top of your TBR? Have you read any of these novels or are they on your list? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time, Kate

  1. Yes you need to get to Assassin’s Apprentice and the Bone Season! They are both amazing! 🙂

  2. I’ve also been wanting to read Lady Midnight because I loved the Mortal Instruments series. It’s been so long since I’ve read something by Cassandra Clare!!

  3. The Dark Artifices series is quickly becoming one of my all-time favorites. Definitely Cassandra Clare’s best work yet, in my opinion. I need to get to so many of the ones on your list– especially Empress of a Thousand Skies and The Demon King. And, as a fantasy lover, I’m ashamed to admit that I’ve never read any Robin Hobb! I def need to pick up one of her books soon, too.

    1. Oooh that’s so exciting to hear more good praise for it ! I’ve heard quite a few people say they think it’s better than both of her other series. Don’t worry, I’ve never read any Robin Hobb either and I love fantasy too! I have Assassin’s Apprentice as an e-book so I’m hoping to get to it in the next few months and begin my adventure with her work. 🙂

  4. I really want to read both The Demon King and Assassin’s Apprentice as well! I have heard amazing things about both series and I can’t wait to get to them. 😀 Great list!

      1. I would love to buddy read those books with you! 😀 I don’t have the time to start Robin Hobb’s series at the moment (as it’s beyond huge) – maybe later in the year. But I do plan on getting The Demon King some time soon. So whenever you get it from the library I would love to read it with you! 🙂

        1. Ooh that would be so great! I’m not planning on reading Hobb for another month or two at least so that suits me! And I’ll have a look for the book this weekend! If it’s not there I’ll see if I can pick it up from Waterstones or a second-hand book shop!

          1. I plan on ordering The Demon King some time next week, so you really don’t have to hurry! 😉

          2. I will see it wherever you message me, but I think Twitter is the easiest!

  5. So many of these books are on my tbr list too and I actually forgot that some of these are on my list haha. The Queen of the Tearling is one book I keep going back and forth with. It looks like a good book but it also looks very full on. I’m torn.

    1. Ahaha, my TBR is about 220 books long so I often forget some of the ones that have been on it for ages! Yeah, I’ve heard pretty good things and think I’d really enjoy it, buuuut I’m kind of hoping/waiting for a cover chance as I really don’t like the UK covers! The US ones are much better. I’m so petty, I know, but those covers just honestly don’t do anything for me. I’d get them out from the library, but none of my local branches have them in!
