Hello, happy Tuesday from London!
It’s that time of the week again! Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted over at The Broke and The Bookish, and this week’s theme is:
May 23: Summer Reads Freebie: In preparation for Memorial Day (which is always the unofficial summer kickoff for me), let’s rec some summer/beach reads: books to go in your beach bag, best books set in summer, books with summer-y covers, best beach reads for people who don’t enjoy contemporary/realistic reads, best beach reads for fans of X genre, etc. etc.
I’m going to keep it nice and simple with this one and go for cute and funny reads with a flare for the dramatic, that are either set in summer or just seem ideal for the season!
Do you agree that these books would be good summer reads? What would your ideal summer picks be? Do you have a book or series you read every summer? Let me know!

Great picks for this week Kate. I haven’t read many of these but Aristotle and Dante, When Dimple Met Rishi and The Girl from Everywhere are three I have and they’re definitely perfect summer books. I’ve seen a lot of The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue around so I may have to check that one out. From what I’ve heard it definitely sounds like a cute and fun summer read! 😀
Again great picks, and I hope you enjoy all these books when you get around to them as well. 🙂
Thanks Beth! Yeah I’m really looking forward to The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue too! I read the first four chapters online and now I need more!
That’s all right! I haven’t even read the first four chapters but I’m still pretty excited for that book now! 😀
Ahhh so many lovely books! I have Ari and Dante, When Dimple Met Rishi and The Gentleman’s Guide all on my TBR, I can’t wait to read them all! So many great summer reads here, Kate, I hope you enjoy them! 😊
Thanks Analee! I’ve read Ari and Dante and When Dimple Met Rishi already, but I’m looking forward to picking up TGGTVV when it comes out later in June! 😀
I just won a copy of When Dimple Met Rishi and I am beyond excited. I’m really interested I checking out The Lumberjanes. Nimona was my first graphic novel and I adored it. Great list!
When Dimple Met Rishi sounds like the perfect summer book and it’s definitely one of my most anticipated of the year. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Paper Towns but it’s an easy book to read and ideal for the summer.
